What a Naperville women’s health visit includes

A women’s health visit here means seeing a provider the same day for problems that come up between regular checkups. You explain what’s going on, the provider examines you, and any tests that fit are run or collected before you leave. These are the tools we have in the building:

  • Urinalysis, which checks your urine for signs of infection
  • Tests for common sexually transmitted infections, a few with results the same day
  • Blood drawn here and processed by an outside lab
  • An EKG, plus quick in-office tests for strep, flu and COVID
  • X-ray every day we are open (we have no CT or MRI)

Checkups and ongoing care

We also do annual physicals and primary care, so the clinic can be more than a one-time stop. Hoping for a Pap test or a pregnancy test during this visit? Call (630) 914-5373 ahead of time to check whether that test fits into a same-day visit here. Our main women’s health page describes the service as a whole.

Same-day UTI checks near Naperville

Yes, you can walk in with UTI symptoms, and the urine test runs during your visit. According to MedlinePlus, women get urinary tract infections more often than men because the urethra is shorter and sits closer to the anus. Sex, menopause and pregnancy all raise the odds.

A bladder infection usually brings burning or pain when you pee, a strong urge to go even right after emptying your bladder, pressure low in the belly, and urine that looks cloudy or bloody or smells strong. The urine sample is checked for bacteria, nitrites, and red and white blood cells. According to MedlinePlus, this test catches an infection in most cases, and a simple bladder infection is usually treated with antibiotics. Tell the provider if you might be pregnant before you start any medicine.

Left alone, the infection can climb to the kidneys. A fever above 101°F, chills, pain in your side or back, nausea or vomiting mean you should be seen that day. If you are too sick to keep fluids down, go to the ER. Our UTI symptom guide covers what helps at home.

Confidential STD testing near Naperville

STI testing is available all seven days, and you can simply walk in for it. Some results are ready during the visit, and other samples go to an outside lab. Testing is confidential but not anonymous, since you register under your name. Self-pay is available.

Many of these infections cause no symptoms at all. That is why the CDC’s screening recommendations call for chlamydia and gonorrhea testing in sexually active women under 25, and in older women at increased risk. The CDC also recommends HIV screening for all women 13 to 64. If you notice symptoms, such as a sore or unusual discharge, come in instead of waiting for a routine screen. Our STD testing page goes into more detail.

Pap tests, mammograms and free screening in DuPage and Will counties

Cancer screening follows a set schedule, and Naperville women without coverage can often get it free through a state program. The CDC says Pap tests start at 21. With normal results, women 21 to 29 can usually wait three years between tests. From 30 to 65, the choices are an HPV test alone or an HPV test plus a Pap test every five years, or a Pap test alone every three years. For breast cancer, the CDC advises a mammogram every two years for average-risk women 40 to 74, and telling your doctor about any breast change you notice.

The Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program provides free mammograms, breast exams, pelvic exams and Pap tests to Illinois women ages 21 to 64 who are uninsured or whose coverage leaves these screenings out. There is no income requirement.

Naperville sits in two counties, with downtown in DuPage and the 95th Street area in Will, and one agency covers both. The state’s 2026 directory lists VNA Health Care, 400 N Highland Ave in Aurora, as the lead agency for DuPage and Will, at 630-892-4355, ext. 8535. The state Women’s Health-Line, 888-522-1282, can also walk you through signing up.

Questions and answers

Questions we hear often

Still not sure? Call (630) 914-5373 and we will help you decide.

Where can I walk in for women’s health care near Naperville?

We take walk-ins for women’s health seven days a week at our Bolingbrook clinic, which is open 8 AM to 8 PM. Plan on roughly 18 minutes of driving from downtown Naperville, or 17 from the 95th Street side. Saving your spot online before you leave is optional.

Do you do Pap smears?

Phone (630) 914-5373 before your visit and ask whether a Pap test can be done that day. The CDC recommends starting Pap tests at age 21. Uninsured, or on a plan that skips cervical screening? Women 21 to 64 may qualify for free Pap tests through the state’s IBCCP, and VNA Health Care is the lead agency for both DuPage and Will counties.

Can I get a UTI checked the same day?

Yes. Walk in during our hours and a urinalysis is done during your visit, so the provider can see the result before deciding on treatment. Fever, back or side pain, or vomiting are reasons not to wait until tomorrow. Vomiting so much that you can’t hold down fluids is a reason for the ER instead.

Is STD testing private?

Yes. Your testing stays confidential, like the rest of your medical record, but it isn’t anonymous, since you check in under your own name. A few results are ready before you leave, while other samples travel to an outside lab. Insurance and self-pay both work. Phone (630) 914-5373 to hear current self-pay pricing.

What should I bring to a women’s health visit?

Bring your insurance card and a photo ID, a list of your medicines and supplements, and any allergies. Know the first day of your last period and when your symptoms started. If you had tests done somewhere else recently, bring copies or the details.

Can I be seen after 8 PM?

No. We’re open 8 AM to 8 PM and don’t stay open overnight. Late in the evening, our booking page offers times for the following day. For heavy bleeding, severe pain or fainting, go to the nearest emergency room, such as Edward Hospital in Naperville, or call 911.

Do you have an office in Naperville?

No. Pioneer Physicians runs a single clinic, located at 148 S Bolingbrook Dr in Bolingbrook. From downtown Naperville, the route follows Washington Street and 75th Street to IL 53. From the south side, it runs along 95th Street and Boughton Road. Either drive takes about 17 to 18 minutes.
